Privacy & contact policy

Last updated: 16 August 2026

This page explains what personal data T-Shell handles, why we handle it, and how to make us stop. It is written to be read, not to be survived — if anything here is unclear, write to hello@t-shell.uk and we will answer in plain language.

Who we are

T-Shell is a software studio operating from Da Nang, Vietnam, serving clients in the UK, the EU and Southeast Asia. For any question about your data, the contact point is hello@t-shell.uk.

Why you may have received an email from us

We contact businesses directly about work we believe is relevant to them. When we do, the message goes to a business address published by that business — a company contact page, a business directory listing, or a public professional profile. We do not buy contact lists, and we do not contact private individuals at personal addresses.

The lawful basis for this is legitimate interest in business-to-business marketing. That basis carries a duty on our side, and we take it literally: every message says who we are, why we are writing to you specifically, and how to stop. You never have to justify a request to be removed.

How to stop hearing from us

Reply with the word stop, or use the unsubscribe link in any message, or write to hello@t-shell.uk. Any of the three works, and any of them is final: we suppress the address permanently and no later campaign can reach it again. There is no confirmation step to click and nothing to log in to.

What we collect

  • Business contact data — company name, website, a business email address, and where relevant a contact name and job title, collected from public sources.
  • Correspondence — what you send us, and whether a message we sent was opened or its links clicked, so we know not to write again to someone who is clearly not interested.
  • Enquiry details — whatever you choose to tell us about your project when you get in touch.

This website itself sets no cookies, runs no analytics, and loads nothing from third-party servers. There is no tracking pixel on this page and no consent banner, because there is nothing to consent to.

How long we keep it

Prospect data is kept for up to 24 months from the last contact, then deleted. Suppression records — the addresses we must never write to again — are kept indefinitely, because deleting them would defeat their entire purpose. Data relating to an actual project is kept for the duration of the engagement and for as long afterwards as accounting obligations require.

Who else sees it

Our email delivery provider and our hosting and infrastructure providers process data on our behalf under contract. We do not sell personal data, we do not share it for anyone else's marketing, and we do not enrich it with data brokers.

Your rights

Depending on where you are, you can ask us for a copy of the data we hold about you, ask us to correct or delete it, or object to us processing it at all. Write to hello@t-shell.uk; we respond within 30 days and we do not charge for it. If you are in the UK and you are unhappy with how we handled your request, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.

Security

Data is held in access-controlled systems. Contact details in our own systems are stored encrypted, and the key material lives outside the database — so a copy of the database on its own does not yield anyone's email address.

Changes

If this policy changes, the date at the top changes with it. Material changes affecting people we have already contacted will be communicated directly.
